Some of the roms for these games were hacks. For instance you could play mario bros in pixelated nudity, or as a menstruating female "mario." One of the mario bros hacks I found was completely in japanese, and so bizarre and freakish as well as difficult to play. This outfit reminds me of one of the redesigned characters.
